The Lake City Public Library has created and maintained an index (hardcopy) of the Lake City newspapers. My personal project is to provide this outstanding genealogical information online. Please let me know if you have any comments on this site. Thank you.
PDF Reports
The pre1900 file is over 3.5 Mb so it downloads slowly. I have broken up the large Pre1900 report - the report name reflects the first letter of the surnames found on that particular report. There are currently 39 PDF reports available online. These reports are scanned copies of the newspaper index at the LC Library. The complete collection of reports can be found at the LC Library but the goal is to have all available online.

Hint: Years followed by an * are complete with all available records
The big difference between the PDF Reports and the Online Database is the ability to select just one surname or a set of surnames that begin with the same letters. Example: Entering a surname of BR will give you Bremer, Breuer and Bricker, however, if you enter BRE you will get the result of the surnames of Bremer and Breuer. The more letters that you use in the request, the smaller the number of selected records. The reports for the Surname select will allow you to see them in Alphabetical order (surname, first name) or Sorted by Year and then in Alphabetical order.
